LMAO....Cheap and Affective...Might want to kick the tire too...

If your going to drag race occassionally its definitely time for a better clutch and flywheel.

Ya I'm going to start looking for a clutch. Do you have any recommendations? I want to stay NA. Also I really don't want to replace my flywheel unless I have to. I'm not really looking to get a lightflywheel due to the noise.

Put it in neutral when it sticks and give it a good couple of revs (5k+). If it comes back then your pressure plate is probably sticking. Nissan seems to have a problem with the master and slave cylinders. You can have a look at that too. Hope it helps.

It happened to me once at 11500 while feathering on a steep hill in heavy traffic. Scared the hel# out of me, but it hasn't happened since. The clutch smell on the way home was the worse!

ya just bought a 2007 Z in March and the dealership already had to replace the entire clutch because it kept sticking to the floor and they couldn't figure out why.

Once they replace it does it stop the clutch from sticking?
I've had numerous times where i would take off hard or even go into 2nd and the clutch would just stick to the floor.Happened the other day while it was warm outside too.

clutch fluid, like brake fluid, is hydroscopic. that means it absorbs moisture - perhaps the change in temps caused condensation causing an issue in the line because of said moisture?

for real--it is worth getting a ss line and motul rbf600 flush before replacing other clutch parts--b/c its really an inexpensive mod and I have not experienced any sticking issues since I did this (and it happened to me a lot before)--IMO the main cluprit is the clutch fluid cuz I think it has a tendecy to boil when you run these cars hot--which the engine bay area already running hot to begin with, and when you start adding headers and hfc's to the mix, things get really hot and in addition to the boiling clutch fluid, the rubber stock clutch line has a tendancy to expand so the ss line and high temp fluid are really worth a try if you haven't already done so, and it solved my headache on the issue. Just my .02

This has happened to me a few times with my '04. Just about any time I feather the clutch from 1st to 2nd with the engine reving above 4000 RPM, the clutch either sticks or doesn't engage as crisply as it normally does and there's a distinct buring smell. However, when I bought the car, the dealership told me that the previous owner had purchased a NISMO clutch disc. I wonder if that might have something to do with it.

I'm having the same issue after some driving when it is 90°F+ here in CA. Having headers, HFC, popcharger, intake manifold, I think it's getting hot in the engine bay. Where did you get the ss clutch line and high temp fluid? How much were both items? Summer is coming and I hate this crap so want to fix this now.

Thanks
