To product this piece with CF... HOLY SHAT that would be expensive.

NOT worth it. Good idea thou. Crawfords honestly isn't much into bling blingage...

From what I can tell... it's going to be an as ordered basis.

Right now, the most AFFORDABLE solution... is the factory one, not bored... just "redesigned".

I worked on one last night for a while and let me tell you, it is a PITA. And all I was doing was the first polishing step. Once again I can see Doug is not making what he needs to on these. And for those of you who expect one for $50 . . . .Hahahahaha. The last statement was aimed at one person in particular!

Carbon Fiber, ugh, isn't that junk played out yet? The only pieces of our car I would think is not ghetto would be a carbon fiber with plex/lexan rear window and carbon fiber doors. Those are the only parts you are going to pick up major weight savings on, and even then these should only be done to a racecar IMHO. Carbon fiber is like a disease, a plague, infesting the car industry.

Good to hear about the lack of blingage. I'll take function before form 99 times out of a 100, and I think most people who will actually put their money where there mouth is are going to be the same, wait and see. If there is one thing I've learned from auto message boards is that for every 10 people that talk about buying some mod and beg for it to get made, less than half of them are going to actually buy it. Those worrying about looks aren't going to fork the money over nearly as often as those looking for performance first and foremost.

Speed is an addiction, vanity is just a lifestyle. You don't feed a lifestyle, you feed an addiction.

ok cool --- ummm ... not trying to raid your secrets a little -- but could you explain "redisigned" a little... im "that guy" that needs to know why im making the extra power, ans where and why the air is flowing beter instead of just slaping it on and having more power!

im probaly be looking to get one in a bout 2 months -- right now im getting ready for a court date so i have to save money for that

With the redesign, can you use the strut bar?

this may be a dumb question, or three, but here goes

1) I see on strictlyz.com a polished manifold is $450. Im guessing that is from Crawford?

2) I live in Memphis, and while installing the grounding kit noticed there are a TON of bolts holding on the intake manifold and Im lazy, so how much would installation run?

3) Why not just put spacers between the strut tower brace and the suspension points to lift it over the manifold? Hood clearance issues or what?

Thanks.

the polished instake manifold is just a stock manifold polished not the crawfor one and as for the spacers for the strut tower bar i dont think that would work im not sure though

Well that sucks, I was hoping it was for the crawford plenum, but knew that was too good to be true!

Dude, it's the internet. Don't you know that it's a requirement to talk out of your *** on a website? If we all waited until we had hard data before posting then none of these threads would be over 1 post long. At that one post would be the initial question!

Seriously man! I can't believe the nerve. I didn't realize wren57 was paying something for access to this message board, or to the information posted by US, the users.

Wow, rudeness knows no bounds.
