Silencer/Resignator off???
Anyone taken out the silencer for the exhaust? I heard that it adds around 5hp and it makes a lot better sound than it is stock. "It sounds like how a Z is suppose to sound like"
I friend's guy does exhaust and he said that there is a screw that you just take out from the exhaust and pull out something (i guess the thing that resignates) then that's it...is that true?

I took the resonator off, and I am generally satisfied with it.
It can be a good alternative until I get a new exhaust system that I want (didn't decide yet).
Do a search within this forum and you can fined threads with tons of information regarding your concern. You can do it in any local muffler shop and they should not cost more than $50. (did mine at local Meineke for 27.50) Thos resonators are attached in the middle pipe( I guess) and basically you have to cut them off, and get a pipe and cut it accordingly to fit instead, and welding it.
It took about 20-30 min total and seemed like an easy job.
Hope this helped
