hey guys, i have a problem. my car is at a shop getting a vortech tuner kit installed. i purchased some rc440 injectors that originally came with a Greddy TT kit. the shop is having issues with the stock fuel rails clearing the lower plenum. now ive been told that the solution another shop gave them was to shave the fuel rails to clear. both shops are reputable but ive talked with a few other shops about this problem and none of them have mentioned any sort of shaving of the fuel rails to be a solution. feedback would be greatly appreciated

I think you remove the lower plenum also, Its only 8 bolts I believe

 

ahh, thats not the problem. the lower plenum is off, thats the only way you are gonna change the injectors. after the injector install we cannot get the lower plenum to sit flush because the fuel rail now is sitting too high.

 

The instructions with the Greddy kit have you shave the rails in two parts, where the mounting tab comes over the top of the rail.
