But in order to get an accurate indication of hp, the gear closest to 1:1 should be used. Which would be 5th gear for the 350Z. However, as long as your before and after pulls are done in the same gear, I guess that represents as well.

Seafoam comes in this red and white metal can and you can pour it into your gas tank and in your throttle body and it helps clean out the fuel system and any buildup in the intake manifold.

he mentioned that he used it, that's why I brought it up.

stuff works great! when I found out about it I used it on my second car that had 100K on it and it shoots white smoke out the back of the exhaust, all the buildup gets burned off and comes out the back. helps for better gas mileage and a better fuel system mostly. That car also was missfiring and this helped to egt that to stop as well!

I bought some for a friend once when I was in NC, they should have it where you are in Florida, like $5 at Autozone I believe

I've seen plenty say that 5th gear usually yields more power... maybe its just on a Dyno Jet, who knows.

No where did I say I gained 36whp, it was a joke but I do know that I've gained something without a doubt. I don't see how 259whp seems unrealistic

I don't question the dyno numbers at all (regardless of what you are trying to insinuate). It's just every 350Z dyno pull I have seen (cept for yours) has been done from 5th gear. The numbers themselves don't mean squat. It's the difference from befor and after that count.

Understandable. Not trying to mislead anyone here at all as all of my dynos have been done in 4th gear.

Like I said, we did pulled in 4th and 5th and this is what yielded higher power. I think it would be a bit unreasonable to think a stock 06 would be putting out 220 to the wheel

That's what an 03-05 AT would put out stock.

I figured on a DD, a 6spd would be high 220s which would be ~240 on a DJ. 230s for the revup motors and higher 240s on a DJ. Thats just going from what I've seen on the site but I was more interested in comparing my number with the particular 06 that dyno'd half an hour before I did. There was another 03 with the Stillen exhaust that dyno'd right before me that put down 240whp.

Let me get this straight...

First baseline was 220'ish then a couple weeks later you show 250+?

Was trhe weather alot different? Did the shop correct the last runs? Sure they are doing what some shops will do by correcting the after runs to read higher so you think they did a great job?

I'm confused when you say the 5th gear pull was lower than 4th. Usually it's the other way around.

The important part is do you like the way the car feels considering the mods you've done.

No, that 223whp was not my baseline. That was actually full bolt-ons as well but the dyno was reading pretty low that day but there was another full bolt-on Z that dyno'd 243whp the same day so there was definitely something wrong with my car. My AFR on my previous dyno just plunged downwards too.

Like I said, I don't believe I gained 36whp... but I definitely gained something. I'm going to the track soon to compare as well.

They screwed up on the first one then. No reason your car with bolt ons should've ran that low unless there was an unforseen problem with it.

Track dyno always works.

Just looked at the AFR's. Very lean up front. Hopefully a tune will even that out.

Yeah, they said the dyno was reading rather low that day but hey, it doesn't bother me. The same guys that ran with me last time will be running again so it really helps gauge things out for me. Although it was a HORRIBLE night to run last time, I did have the fastest time of the NA Z's and highest trap so I knew my car wasn't as bad as the dyno made it seem
