Sharif, so in your opinion what kind of power can be expected with the Tomei cams and 11:1 compression?

Depends on the rest of your mods...but i would expect about 270-290whp, depending on the dyno and your other mods.

doesn't it matter which year the car is??

the HR motor has different springs than the previous years right? i believe a progressive spring rate that revs to 7500..... wouldn't this year be able to handle the tomei cams without changing the springs/retainers?

or are the cams completely different?

in anycase, wouldn't the hr springs/retainers fit into the older vq model 350z?

Different motors, different cams. Tomei cams are only slated for the 287hp motor.

I think GTM and JWT do. I am not 100% sure as we do not offer either one.

Back from the dead! It seems Tomei only do a 264 (not 268) cam for the revup as far as "mild" cams go and they state that you don't need to change the springs or anything else for these, there just direct drop-ins.

Anyone have good experiences with these cams?
