Default 2007 350Z Oil Consumption

I am considering the purchase of a 2007 350Z MT, but the oil consumption problems with the 2006 MT is a major concern. Is the new engine in the 2007 also having oil consumption issues?

yeah.. I bought it to drive it.. and I seem to find a lot of reasons to..

Actually, I put on about 800 in the mountains (zdayz) then drove to Myrtle Beach and back, so 1600 or so are from that trip alone.

Does everyone stick to changing the oil at 3750 like the manual says? I'm at 3400 now.

It wouldn't hurt to follow the manual written by the ppl who built the car

Default a few problems

Well I have a clutch problem as well, it's a noisy throw out bearing and the clutch has stuck to the floor about three times under heavy load. Now I have a noise that occurs about a minute after starting the car. It makes a three second hum and I can not isolate where it is coming from. It sounds like my mothers ABS noise on her ford explorer, or a cranky fuel pump. But it only started doing it for the last five hundred miles. I also checked the tire pressure and found it 20 pounds over. I have only had the car a month, but I guess I should have checked the tire pressure right off the bat, (no wonder why I was all over the place in the rain), ya think the dealer would have checked it, an easy fix at least, now they are all at 35 pounds like the door jam sticker recomends.

Turns out my tire pressure was a bit high from the factory too. Just noticed it on a long trip over memorial day weekend when the TPMS light came on. So I stopped and let some air out and it was fine.
