I work up at a Nissan dealer in TN, and they're supposed to catch this. Before they new cars are loaded onto the trucks for shipment to dealers, they air the tires up anywhere from 45-60 lbs, then strap the cars down pretty tight. This, supposedly, keeps them from bouncing around so much.

When the service techs do their PDI (pre-delivery inspection), which checks everything to make sure it works, add water to the factory windshield wiper solvent, put some gas in it, etc, they also are supposed to air the tires down from shipment to recommended specs.

Guess the tech must've just gotten lazy...who knows. Great thing is a PDI pays an hour labor...heh.

From oil test results submitted, RP does not perform as well as people would hope. Results are still pointing to Amsoil Series 2000 as still the best option out there. My personal experience with Amsoil supports those findings. Excellent oil.

have you guys try motul 300v + motul engine clean combo, it kind of fixed my oil consumption problem. i lost 1/2L at 2000km. compare to motul 8100 10w30 1L/1000km.

03 base @81000km

I remember someone in a past post mentioning that the manual stated that it does not recommned the use of synthetic oil. So I decided to take a look through the manual just to verify and did not find where it said that. Anyone else find that in the manual?

I think that was printed on earlier Z manuals (03' i think). Mine doesn't say that either.

11000 and still no oil consumption. I've been running Motul synthetic since 5500 miles (one change since then). I've also switched out both the tranny and diff fluid to Motul at approximately 9800 miles.
