Thottle Position Question
Hi all,
This is hard to explain, but I'll give it a try...
One day I was merging onto the freeway, and all of a sudden I felt my car buck. At first, I look to see if I stalled or engine died. It was fine. No engine check light...nothing out of the ordinary. HOWEVER, since that incident, I feel there's a lot of lag when i press on the gas pedal that was never there before. I've had my fuel injectors checked and cleaned. I've also had my spark plugs checked and an engine compression test. Nothing. I've replaced my MAF sensor as well.
It seems like there's something happening with the signals sent from the time my foot is on the accelerator to the time the signal reaches the fuel injectors.
Found this on a wiki:
I'm starting to wonder if this has anything to do with my throttle position sensor OR my ECU.
Any ideas? Or if anyone could explain in detail what happens when I put my foot on the gas.
Thanks for reading.

When the driver presses on the accelerator pedal, the throttle plate opens up, allowing more air into the intake manifold. Either a throttle position sensor or an airflow sensor measures this change and communicates with the ECU. The ECU then increases the amount of fuel being sent to the fuel injectors in order to maintain the desired air-fuel ratio.

Generally when you are having issues with your TPS you'll see your RPM flux up AND down. Sometimes as you accelerate and sometimes even at idle. My old Honda had a bad TPS and that was the symptoms.
