Hey Guys,

I think this might be one of my first posts even though I have been a member here for years. I have a 2003 G35 that has been stalling at various speeds with the CEL, slip, and VDC lights coming on. Pepboys gave me the code P0340 which is the Cam Position Sensor A.

I understand that there was a recall on this sensor years back but my car does not sit within the VIN range and my basic warranty expired a few months ago. This repair would not be covered in the powertrain warranty.

Could this problem be caused by my Injen CAI? In addition, is this a problem that replacing the sensor will fix, or could the problem be deeper? Finally, will I have to replace both the left and right hand sensors?

bump for an answer........my sensor died with my battery. pos nissan and their stupid sensors. shouldnt have to shell out money like this because of a dead battery.
