Initially, I was going to say leave everything the way it is so you can get a theoretical 'baseline' but if you think your plugs are bad then maybe you can change them to notice a difference. If thsi works out for you, you can avoid the cost of a leakdown test. I think for my Sentra which is a 4-cyl, I think it was $150.

If they start on oyur car right away, it may take a few hours. Maybe 2-3. Not sure because I wasn't there when they did my Sentra many years ago. My problem turned out to be a faulty injector.

I still retain my Sentra, I am now the proud owner of two Nissans! Typically, the Sentra gets the daily driving duties and relaxes on the weekends which is where the Z comes in.

My dad has a 2005 (I think) Altima 2.5 and it is a very solid car and is actually quite fast.
