problem with 07
i was driving home from work last night and i had just started driving my car, it was still cold so i didn't let it warm enough i guess, because when i flored it in first and i missed second and over reved it, it hit the rev limiter and i herd my exhaust pop really fast. well after i did this i tryed taking it easy and then started trying to excelerate hard in first but the car had absolutely no power in low rpm's i would try floring it and it was like it had no power at all, i was on low fuel maybe 35 miles left but no engine lights came on any idea on what happened. by the way after i turned off the car and let it sit for a while i took it for a drive and it felt normal again and started taking off fine

He could not have had a mechanical overrev if he started in first gear then missed 2nd- at the most, he simply floored it off of the rev limiter- a mechanical overrev is when you are travelling too fast for a given gear, then downshift, causing the wheelspeed to force the engine to spin higher than the rev limiter.
How has the car been driving today?

It probably went into "limp mode" and if it felt normal after the restart, you should be 100% fine

Problem isn't the 07Z it's the driver
Missed 2nd
35 miles left in the tank Never let it get below 1/4
Over rev "well after i did this i tryed taking it easy and then started trying to excelerate hard in first "
WHY take it easy then thrash on it by excelerating hard in FIRST!!
I am sure you didn't hurt anything too bad, but have you done the break-in?
When you stoped for gas and let it sit it, did it go back to normal when you started her back up? It's fine just be easy it's a new car!

that's something my grandfather always told me when i was younger, and i heard people say its good practice to do...
i dunno me and my friend were talking about it a while ago, and he tends to over-think scenarios when he smokes his blunts, but he made a point
what if theres some stuff sitting at the bottom of the tank that never gets out? and one day you happen to not quite make it to that gas station and go below 1/4th...
but then again, if it's in the tank its, its in the tank, and its gona get out one way or another...

I said that to save the fuel pump, it's common sence that the pump should stay submerged. As for anything in the tank your right, and something to think about is the fact that you stir up stuff in the tank everytime you drive (stop/go) and when you fill up.
