I just wanted to know what type of oil some people are running in their Zs. I got my first scheduled oil change a few months ago and should go in for my second in a week or so. My car has about 4k on it and I've had it since November. I was told that I shouldn't run synthetic until I have at least 5k on the car. Has anyone else heard of this? I'd appreciate any help people can give me and what type of oil I should use as well. Thanks.

 

I've been using Redline Synthetic since my Type R days and have had great success with it.

 

No reason for you to delay moving to synthetic. Several of us had moved over to full syn by 2500 miles.
Redline, AMSOil, Mobil 1 are all good choices
