Default I think my power steering is leaking?

I was planning on taking the car to the track in the morning, but I just noticed some fluids under the car. I am pretty sure that is power steering fluid, anyway there appears to be a lot of it gone. At first I thought it was oil, but it is a light color and greasy. I checked what I thought was the power steering fluid (in front of the Brake fluid) and it is well below min and nearly out. When I pulled the car out of the garage, I had a second puddle, so whatever it is, it is going pretty quick.

What would the worst case scenario be to fix the problem? I would imagine the hose is the problem, because I hit a piece of wood in the road yesterday.

Other/any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

By the way if no one has figured out, I have no mechanical skills to speak of.

Also, when I turn the wheel, it makes a audible whining noise. Also, making me believe it is the power steering.

I have 52k miles, never had to have flushed, I am certain it is a leak.

Actually the fluid in front of the brake fluid is the clutch.

Clutch fluid is brake fluid and usually light in color, yellowish.

The Power steering is the big white container on the front passenger side of the engine with a black cap, and the fluid is Auto tranny fluid and redish in color unless someone screwed up and put in ps fluid when you did the TT install and if so then the power steering is probably leaking as the seals as messed up now.

Ok, On the driver's side, in front of the brake fluid, is the fluid that I have leaking, what is that? Is that the clutch? What would explain the whining noise from turning the wheel?

That is the clutch, depending on how the line is it could have been affected by the heat from the turbo on that side, the stock one is rubber wrapped with heat blanket, if it is bad I would replace it with a SS line, how have you confirmed this what is leaking?

As for the noise that is why I thought it was the power steering fluid mix up, I would check to see what is in the ps reservoir as well as confirming where the leak is coming from as the clutch line is close to the steering rack it could be difficult to confirm.

I am not sure if you are making a statement that your fluids are empty or questioning that there is no actual ps and clutch fluids.

The PS fluid is basically ATF fluid, I learned the hard way with my 300ZX when I put in the PS fluid bought at auto parts store and started to leak, that is when I found out I should have used ATF fluid, and the clutch system uses brake fluid.

Now my fluids are completly empty. I checked the clutch fluid resevoir and it is dry, and the Power steering is low not completely empty.

I really can't understand, because I have a stainless steel clutch line, and the power steering fluid is a different color entirely. I found none of it on the ground it was the light color that was in the clutch resevoir that was everywhere?

I noticed that my pasenger side turbo had rubbed a small hole into one of the power steering hard lines and caused a leak......

I pulled the line out, had to hole welded up and them I reinstalled the PS line (with a new bend in it) so that it cleared the turbo........check that if you can.
