The only swap that would be worth it would be an RB26. And that install is costly. Otherwise, the VQ is a powerhouse.

trust us when we say it will be much cheaper to just build a vq for 500-600whp

600whp ~ 14K

v8 swap with everything working

about the same if not more, and that doesnt include building it or turbos.

More than you're probably willing to pay...

you need to stop taking examples from video games where motor swaps are like "1500 credits"

So does that mean I can't just swap a motor out for 1500 credits?? What about Skeeball tickets?

if you are going to swap, you are better off going with a small block.

they are very compact engines, make tons of power, and have a bigger aftermarket support than you can possibly dream about with a Japanese motor.

yes. There are already a couple of guys on G35driver that are putting in the q45 V8 and twin turboing it. Search out "project G45" on that forum. The major problem with the V8 is that it is substantially heavier than your V6 and it doesn't add that much more power. This is why the car reviewers are recommending the M35 over the M45

no, it's cheaper to drop in the V8 and twin turbo it. Which is why 2 guys on G35driver are doing it.

that swamp water in new orleans must be deadly...to do a vq45 swap you will need more than just the motor...new motor mounts, ecu, and a fat checkbook to start

Lol!

The Stroker Kits/ Head work becoming available for the VQ35 are looking attractive for getting good NA numbers. I would explore that path further before going down the road of a V8 swap.

"No Mr. Shelby a V-8 will not fit an AC Ace"

It's only "rediculous" because you are too scared to try something different from what Sport Compact Car magazine or Import Tuner magazine tells you to do.

Farggin' sheep **** me off. If the dude wants a V-8 Z let him have his fun.

And what the **** does "rediculous" mean. I swear that stupid Hooked on Phonics stuff has ruined the youth. That and MTV....
