Any visual difference between 04 and 06 engine?

I have an 06 Z, that I bought and I'm fixing. Thing is, there is a 04 Z that came in with mine. I had to remove my engine to respray the whole car (don't like MB, so went with SB). Now the engine is back in after months of waiting on parts and getting the car sprayed.
Thing is, I didn't get the engine number before this was done, and now I'm wondering if the person would be ****ed up enough to switch my 06 engine for his 04 one.
Can you guys tell me if there is anything I can look for, that will tell me i have an 06 engine still in my car? Shouldn't there be a exterior visual difference between at least the rev-up engines that the 06 have?

1. Look at your RPM redline. If it's at 7k, then you have a rev-up. Anything less is the 287hp version.
2. Pop the hood. Look at the valve timing control covers (cam sprocket covers).
Rev-Up

287hp Engine

If your RPM gauge shows a 7k redline, but your cam sprocket covers look like pic number 2, then you've been screwed... If they look like pic number one, then it's all good.
Hope this helps.

Yup, checked it out today. Looked at both the gauge and the cam sprocket covers.
I got scared for a second, cause I was looking for the cam covers on the 'left' and 'right' side, didn't realise the cams were laid down front to back (duh). Yea, I know I'm an idiot, but I've been driving 4cyl. Hondas all my life, so I guess it's where I'm used to looking. lol
