07 weird tranny/gearbox/clutch problems/questions
I don't know if it's me or not, but damn i have to throw 1st to 2nd REALLY hard (only when im hitting 7500rpm). I mean it almost feels like if i threw any lighter, it would lock it out or grind...
I can feel weird things when i shift. Now I've learned pretty fast seeing this is my first MT, but I'm just not knowledgable enough to tell the different between normalities and problems. If I shift slower, I can actually feel gears... it's like i can feel the teeth it's weird... I don't know if that's normal or not, but hearing all this **** about Z's and tranny's I had to ask.
A few months back when I was pushing myself to drive her faster, i missed 2nd gear a few times. But I'm not really sure if I missed it... or i didn't throw it hard enough.

Considering it is your first manual car and the car is brand new, I would say you just need to get used to it. Plus, the 350z has a very sporty shifter and will give you alot of feel for what's going on in the transmission, that is what it's supposed to do. Lastly, make sure you are pressing the clutch all the way to the floor or you will experience rough shifting.
Yes, this is my first MT, and I have 12,000 miles on it. The very first car I learned to drive on was a MT, it wasn't mine. I've never daily-driven a MT, but now that I am I'm simply asking questions on things I never noticed before. If you don't think that's experienced enough to open a car up then tell me what u think is lol.
I drove another 350Z, his tranny has already been replaced. When shifting, it felt so much smoother. My car has been shifting the same since I took the protective taping off the car. He didn't drive my car but he suggested I ask someone else.
