Default gay dealership

So i came on this site searching around for the 3rd gear grind problem, and a couple of people told me that the transmission is covered under a powertrain warranty that goes to 60k miles.

Im out of the normal warranty that runs to 30 k (40k miles on my car right now).

So i go to the nissan dealership on stevens creek and they tell me that i would have to pay for a clutch and a new transmission if i could prove that it grinds?? So now im frikin confused because people on this board says i shouldn't have to pay and the dealership says i do. I was thinking maybe they're just being dumb and i should try a better/friendlier dealership. Ive hear a lot about west covina nissan? where is that exactly?

so I can get back to the gayness and have the 'straights' stop harassing me (you know who you are):

NO NO NO NO NO, your sentence doesn't even make sense. if YOU have to pay for it anyway, why would you have to prove it grinds

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR A GRINDING TRANSMISSION. go somewhere else.

I got my tranny fixed for 5th gear syncro issues (grinding) .. go to a better dealer.. 3rd gear grind is a very common problem. you prolly have a 03 or a 04, right?

transmission should be covered under powertrain. If they give you grief about it, just go to another dealership. i'm not sure about the clutch. i heard a rumor once that it fell under some normal wear part clause that nissan wouldn't cover.

good luck.

and I swear, the one gay dealer I went to used astroglide in the transmission instead of GL4
