Just because there is only one muffler housing, it doesn't necessarily mean the two airflow paths ever cross in it. Regardless, if their horsepower claims hold up, who really cares in the end?

I like this! even with the signature Borla Tips! If it's really 20whp, then this is the exhaust to get!

Looks like two resonators in the middle of the pipe.. so it shouldn't sound raspy..

Maybe the single muffler has two seperate chambers..

To those who have the instructions, does it use the stock mounts? Do they have to be modified in any way?

Stock mounts, no modifications at all. The instructions suggest removing the chassis support member to make the intallation easier but it is not necessary.

When I called Borla for the pics, I asked several questions one of them was about the sound of the new dual exhaust. The guy told me deeper, louder, and has a good rumble to it. Another thing he told me was they dont release HP&TQ numbers but the only reason they did with this system is because it made so much HP even more then they expected.

When I was speaking to Richard at Borla about the exhaust, I asked about the headers. He was pretty certain that they were equal length tubes rather then what was shown in the diagram. He said that they first tried the shorty type like in the picture and then the equal length which is what is shipping. I still don't know if I believe him and I hate to spend $600 to find out.

As some of you know I have the old Borla exhaust and since I live near Borla they are gonna swap it out for me for the new one. I have to call David Borla on Monday to set up the time. Maybe I try to get the headers too!! Pics soon.

Thumbs up

Steve,
Please, please, please do a few things for us in addition to your pics.
1. Weigh that pig before you bolt it on!
2. Dyno baseline (if you haven't yet), and then see if there are any gains with a post install run or two.

I'm DYING for a quality exhaust that sounds good, doesn't weigh a ton, and actually makes power!!!

Thanks a million.

There was a post on here a while ago where someone quoted a Borla e-mail that basically compared the Borla exhaust to the Brand "S". One thing that was mentioned in that camparison was the weight. If I recall, the Borla exhaust weighed about 50 lbs, the stock weighed about 62 lbs, and the Brand "S" weight in the mid 70's.

Not sure how real those numbers are since it was basically a Borla add, but my guess is that they'd be pretty close to the real thing.

After a brief flirtation with the Injen exhaust (and finding out that they are on back order for a while apparently), I decided to go with the Greddy EVO when it hits the market. I badly wanted to go for the 19 lb. Amuse Ti offering but finacial discretion won out.

I only hear good things about Borla these days, but I'd still be desiring something lighter. Maybe I'll hold out for Ti after all.

No dude. I don't know who that guys is. I swear there was no one in it when I took the pic. Oh well, he seems ot be having fun. Don't you think even he looks in a Z?

Now back to Borla. Anyone have a soundclip? They're too far for me, way up in Oxnard, or I would just drive over and take a listen and make a .wav file for others.
