I pulled up next to my buddy in his BMW tonight at a stop light and we both took off as it turned green.. instead of just breaking the tires loose the rear end started to hop so I immediately went to shift into 2nd gear and it made a HORRIBLE grinding noise I just bought the car from a private seller less than 2 weeks ago it made a grinding sound SO BAD I could even smell the grinding metal smell....
what could this be?
should I worry about it?
also I notice that the clutch or tranny doesn't seem as tight as it should be feels kinda sloppy.. not so much in the pedal but under the car kinda feeling
... any suggestions?

What did the independent PAID expert inspection LIST as defects/problems prior to your buying the car from the private seller?
Most newish used cars are sold for a definite reason.
