Default Tranny question to you gearheads.....

I have 2003 350z with MT and 31k miles on it.Just took it in to have fuel hoses put on for Fleet Recall. I complained about rough shift from 3-4th and 5 to 6th.The installed new tranny because of service letter. I got car back and it was a bear to go from 5-6 I had to hold it over hard to right to keep it from shifting back into 4th. I took it back and they installed new clutch and throw out bearing the whole 9 yards.Yes it was covered by warranty. Here is the problem..... In the morning when I get in the car it just sucks to come from 1st to 2nd.It does not shift smooth and one time last week it had a grind to it. What causes this?

Before you start your car, go from neutral to 3rd and then try going from second to first. To re-align everything. When I had my cobalt it would be a pain in the *** to go from any gear to first when I was at a red light so I had to put it in second and then into first to re-align everything

I got my tranny replaced a couple weeks ago and the first day I got it back, the clutch engagement point had changed, and the clutch felt stiff...took a week to break it in and get used to it.
