Default Nismo LSD lock up %

My understanding is the Nismo LSD lock up % from the factory is set to 100% and the only way to adjust this was to have a shop crack it open and rearrange the clutch plates? Can anyone confirm or deny before I have this installed on Friday?

Also, the lock up adjustment on the passenger side... is that for initial break away torque? Low == less tq and high == more tq required to lock the diff?

Thanks,
V

Confirmed on both counts! I have the Nismo myself. I love it.

I love it as well... I almost want it to be 2 way sometimes though.

Looks like my shop's going to do some rearranging to get it to 80% lock up. Thanks.

Tha Kaaz is similar to the Nismo. SCC had their Kaaz at 60% and said they'd even go a little looser if they were to do it again. Checkout the article online...

I do quite a bit of 1/4 mile racing so I want to make sure I have the rear totally locked the moment I launch the car. Not sure if the lock % affects launch engagement or how? I'm new to clutch style LSD's...
