Just got my Vortech tuned this weekend and it blew during the tune (sounds like metal grinding). Just when they hit 350 whp!

taking it off tonight to ship it back for repair. I didn't drive it hard either until I got the tune, and now I can't drive it at all! I just hope this is a fluke and Vortech really is reliable.

Nope just got past 4 months procharged so that should give you an idea of how much road time it has gotten. I change the blower oil every other oil change.

I dont have to worry about boost spikes so if the tuning is done right you are all good in the hood

So umm... nobody answered my question regarding boost spikes vs. reliability and kits vs. likelihood of boost spiking on ya...

From what I remember, the TN ST kit is the only kit more prone to ridiculous boost spikes over other kits? I may be wrong, but that's just the tid-bit of boost spike reading I've done over time, didn't get too involved.

I know all kits (turbo) have the potential of this hazard, but why do I remember the TN ST for boost spikes?

cause you ate a bunch of BS being said :d

jk the TN had the overboost issue before becasue of the aftermarket exhausts and WG+location but that got fixed with the recolation thing that is sold with all kits.
The time i ran my kit it never overboosted past 9 psi even even with changes in temp conditions.
