I guess it depends on if you have an OEM or serious aftermarket stereo system.

Seems that people like the Interstate or Die Hards from the four threads I saw.

Here's one-

Good luck!

I saw that Supra's battery is the Oddysey...just need to get some responses from him on stereo equip. I have an after-market amp and a custom boxed 10" in the driver's side cubby. Other than that and a Roady Xt I'm stock.

I appreciate the links guys...gettin' a little frustrated...I hate starting threads that have been covered extensively...LOL

Tanks,

I'm using the Braille Auto (B14115, 11.5 lbs) CF battery and their mounting kit as well. It was easy to install and the mounting hardware fits like a glove for their batteries.

optima puts out a really nice battery. You'll have that thing a solid 4-5 years without any problems. Leak proof, more cranking amps than your average battery. Just make sure to order a Reverse Top batter whenever you purchase one. Your battery is on the opposite side as most cars, so the wires are also switched around. if you get a normal battery it is likely that the wires will not stretch far enough and it will not work. I recommend a red top if you can find one. I went with a yellow top so my car wouldn't be down for 3 days while waiting on the battery to come in. Advance auto has the best prices on optima batteries around here.

The z's battery is a group 35 battery so the optima red top has a model number of 35 and the optima yellow is model number D35.

I've blown up 2 of them, from nothing other than normal use (yellow tops)...I would never, ever use one again

My car, with a full stereo, stock alternator, stock OEM battery - zero need to upgrade and only costs about $70!

After reading the hell out of other similarly related threads...I might just get an exide or duralast gold. Save some dough....and after really putting some thought into it....15lbs, ain't gonna make much difference on a Non-FI Daily driver.
I'll just get a higher than OEM CCA value on the one that I purchase.

Thanks guys.
