I just got my car back this morning and swapping out just that part fixed the problem (so far). I have to drive across town on my lunch break so I'll report back after a long highway run (where my issues first appeared).
Tech said the slave wasn't sealing properly inside. Also, my clutch/pressure plate/flywheel still looked fine and was not replaced. Though now that I have a working clutch pedal again, I'll test that out on my lunch break too

And I'll definitely let you know, got a lengthy clutch break in to go through, maybe I'll have a go at the track in September.

Just to give you some hope Justin, I've been in the molding biz for 22 years now and we now can manufacture plastic that's stronger than steel (pound for pound). Maybe there is hope.
KmanZ I had this problem in a 02 Altima, so Nissan has known this for awhile now. Well I guess there is always next year.

BTW, launch her hard and true
Hmm, good thread!
I took my car in for the same thing. The techs drove it around and said they could not duplicate it but were confident that it was the Master Cylinder so they ordered it. Called me and said it was backordered.
I mentioned the whole slave cyl thing to them but they insisted it was the Master.
We'll see how it goes :\

i brought my car to the dealership on the 13th for the problem. after leaving it there for a few hours, they called me to tell me that they have 2 parts on order and to take the car home until the parts arrive. although they told me the parts were on backorder, they came in 3 days later and my car was fixed on the 17th. so i dont know why some it is taking some dealerships over 2 weeks to get the parts.

Update:
Just drove the car about 50 miles on my lunch break. I tried everything to duplicate the problem, but despite my best efforts, everything's still functioning properly.

I have a question, what are people doing when their clutch sticks to the floor? I have read all the threads, it is difficult to tell what many people are doing when this happens.
As I said in one of the other threads, I think I boiled the fluid in mine.

Just got my car back after Nissan messing with it for 2 weeks. They replaced the slave cylinder, the master cylinder and the clutch pedal itself. The car drives better than new - shifting is incredibly smooth and the clutch engages perfectly. I'm very pleased with the results.
