Default Filter with synthetic oil?

Quick question, but im going to be changing to synthetic oil at 30k (considering Amsoil) and was wondering if i should go ahead and use Amsoil's filter or the Nissan's OEM filter. Is there a recommended filter other than OEM using a full synthetic, and interval changing upwards of 5k miles? Thanks.

mobil 1, puralator pureone, k&n, and wix/napagold filters are among the best filters in addition to the amsoil filter. The OEM filter is among the worst with its cardboard endcaps with similar build construction to the fram filters

+1 on the K&N... Nissan makes 2 oil filters for our car. One is crap with the cardboard end caps. The other is good. I can't remember the part # though.

I've used nothing but K+N for the past 6-7 years and have had no problems with anything.
