Any chance you could scan your Tech notes/vehicle report. May make it easier on us all to get the proper parts replaced. I can host if needed.

Thanks!
Tech notes were just scribbled on a piece of paper by the tech and attached to the rest of my paperwork. I can take some digicam shots and put them up in a few days (out of town til Friday, paperwork's at home).

Nope, they didn't suggest the master cylinder. Master tech was pretty sure from the beginning it had something to do with the clutch assembly/pressure plate. I believe they got the rest of their info from the Nissan tech line they use? I honestly do not believe it could be the master cylinder... we'd be having problems with our brakes as well, I would think.

Mines been acting up more after 5k miles too.

Weird, I'll have to call and report the issue again and tell them its most noticable if I try to run the car from a stop (bad traffic here) and get up to speed quickly. That I almost got hit once and have started to be afraid of driving my sports car as hard as I used to drive my BMW NON-M sedan. The tech at my dealership is good, and he said Nissan usually doesn't fight hard driving, but that it can't be a "this only happens at the track issue" for them to warrant it either.

this happened to me a little over 1k miles. I wanted to smoke the tires and the pedal stopped 1/2 way coming up so i let go of the gas. And it came back i was scared to do it again.

Sometimes they say "master cylinder" when they mean "clutch master cylinder." That confused me, too.

My slave cylinder was changed before. This last time I was at a track event, I didn't downshift into second because the pedal would go down about half way and not come back up so the entire track event I kept it in third gear lol. I got some slow lap times but I got to drive my Z home.

The Z is at nissan now getting a new clutch master cylinder. The first time it was the clutch slave cylinder. I don't really know how many things need to be changed to get it right but Nissan should have gotten it right the first time.

Good luck, but that's not going to fix it either. The stock clutch and pressure plate are just way too weak.

Got my car back today.
They ordered 306A1-JK40C ASSY
They stated slave cylinder was leaking clutch fluid.

Nissan needs to do some hardcore R & D !!!

Supposidly theres a new slave cylinder out. They are installing it on my car as well. It's on a national backorder at the moment. My car will be ready on Friday. Hopefully the problem will be fixed. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

There was supposedly a new slave cylinder out when I got my leaky slave replaced and it was on back order too.

In any case, I haven't really had any problem since they replaced all the stuff on my car.

edit: went and did some 4k and 3-3.5k launches in the country. 4k was automatic smoke of explosion of my 275 Pirellis in the back and the car going sideways until I pedaled first. 3-3.5k was hit/miss, got tons of wheel hop during one... but absolutely no clutch drop. Slight lag coming up from the 4k launch (probably the stupid dampener at work), but obviously the clutch snagged... car doesn't go sideways with clutch slip.

YES! EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH ME!

I am probably going to take it in this week, but if I install my new exhaust, will they blame that for it? I just don't want to install and and them be like 'oh! this exhaust you installed, messed it up! thats $23912039128 to fix it please!' And what do you mean 'duplicated the clutch going to the floor half a dozen times' ?? Did you try and peel out or something in front of them, or what exactly did you do because I want to take my Z to the dealership tuesday.

An exhaust won't void anything.
