Anyone using an aftermarket clutch with a modified clutch travel?
I currently have the D-Wolf clutch kit installed to reduce my pedal travel w/ my stock clutch. However I'm planning on upgrading to a JWT clutch, and from what I've read the engagement for the JWT is just right off the floor and a lot lower than stock. Should I remove the clutch stoppers? Anyone using both at the same time? Thanks.
I'd take them out at first and see how it feels. I've got a buddy with the JWT setup and it DOES engage right off the floor on his car. You can always add them back or smaller spacers if needed to get the JWT engagement point where you want it in your car, but start from stock position baseline.
Haha funny thing..I just installed the D-Wolf kit last night.
When the clutch kit was installed, the clutch engaged like 1/4th of an inch off the floor due to already-low engagement point of the JWT.
After some adjustments the clutch felt like way it should.
With the clutch kit the pedal travel distance is even shorter than my JWT already is.
I'm loving it so far. A lot easier to launch the car, smoother upshifts, and even easier rev-matching.

Ok I think I'm going to remove the clutch kit before I get the JWT clutch install and see from there. Maybe I'll put it back on in the future after the JWT gets broken in and the engagement point increases.
