Parts were sent out for an 06 G, 07 Z and 08 G37. It turns out the O2 sensors on the 07 and 08 cars are physically different than what is used on the 06 Z sensors used as the baseline design starting point. So another set of prototypes are being sent out to accomodate the different sensors of the 07 and 08.

The 06 test vehicle had an air leak as the cause of the CEL so no results from that test.

Another round of test pieces are going out for the 07 and 08 vehicles, and another set are being tested on a different 06 Z.

Are they wideband sensors, or just the regular galvanic battery type? Why is it so difficult to trick them?

Great factory engineers trying to comply with Federal Emission Laws and stay one step ahead of illegal modifiers......the Battle of Titans [not the truck]. Software vs Hardware.

Yesterday, mine threw a CEL. The mods on my car are the ones in my signature. Anyway... when the CEL came on, the sound of the exhaust changed a lot, and became raspier and slightly higher pitched. So i pulled over, pulled the battery and that got rid of the CEL. Now, the car is running a bit strange. Im getting like 16 mpg ??? Before I was getting around 26. It also sputters and chokes sometimes when im on it hard. I wont be driving it until I change the oil tomorrow. (its due for a change anyway)

Any idea as to why this is?

I'll bet you have good size air leak at the header/test pipe interface.

well I've had it for a few thousand miles. I figured there's no way of getting around it now so why let it bother me. I'm still getting 27+mpg on highway so I dunno.... I'm thinking about taking pipes off and just spraying the hell out of it... the 10whp they might make I don't think the aggrivation and vibration and rasp and everything else is worth it...

and to JOE GYVER, did your tps actually move that much? that would make some sense to the noise I'm getting because I have the same ones...

Yes, they physically moved what looked to be +-10mm or more back and forth as you reved the engine. I went over the hardware and install over and over and tried every dampening trick I could think of, it was awful. I even put my foot on it, out of curiosity, and applied pressure while a friend reved the car, no dampening effect what so ever.

hey guys I had the same problem with yall until about 2 weeks ago and I have fixed my CEL problem, for now... I used to have 3 non foulers each side with the regular non-fouler holes on them. My CEL keeps going off at first at 50miles interval, then about 3k miles later at about 15-20.

I made a slight change on the non foulers. I drilled through with same size hole from the O2 sensors all the way through 3 non foulers and I currently have 242miles on the odometer and 20MPG on city and 24/5 on highways.(crossing fingers) and NO CEL YET.

Before the bigger holes on the non foulers, i used to get 15-25miles every after CEL code reset, and 15MPG city and 19highway. I hope this would be the fix!!! I will update my mileage every week or so, to see how much miles it will get before it throws a code again. Keep in mind that I do drive the hell out of my ride when I can

I CAN NOT GUARRANTY that it would also work for your set up(F/I let US know if it works after the slight mod). But I'm satisfied to get this much mileage after every reset. Here are my N/A add ons just for additional info:
-5/16 MDE Iso plenum spacer
-Nismo Headers
-Ultimate Racing HFC's
-Nismo Catback

I drilled through all 3 each side with same size hole and today i currently have over 500miles on it. I used to have three on each side with the non-foulers original hole and the cel keeps going off every 15-20miles. Just my .02

Where did you get your non-foulers?
