Try swapping yours around yet? I've got a new rear O2 coming from the stealership, that'll be the final test.

 

I don't think P2A00 indicates a bad rear O2 sensor necessarily. According to the tech at Autozone, it was bank 1, sensor 1 which is actually in the exhaust manifold. It seems to be a running lean code. When I was putting my headers on, I could not get the O2 sensor unplugged (I didn't try that hard). What I ended up doing was "winding" up the O2 sensor/cord (counterclockwise) so that when it screwed in the cable (clockwise) wasn't bunched up.

I just redid it last night and haven't thrown a code yet (only 43.5 miles on the odometer) but the first two times it threw was at 44.5 and 41.2. I will post later on today if I throw a SES on the way home.

Ultimately the P2A00 code means you have an Air-Fuel Ratio problem. But it could catch that code with a faulty O2 sensor. sometimes OBD2 pisses me off. I also will have Osiris (with Cipher) arriving this week so I should be able to monitor this with no problem at a future date.

 

My tests prove otherwise. The code is "Bank 1 Sensor 1 *Circuit* Range/Performance". It appears it's not for the sensor itself, it's for the circuit it's on, which it seems it shares the circuit with the rear O2 on that bank. I put my O2 simulator on my bank1 rear O2 sensor and no more P2A00, I've been driving around with a P0137 and a P0138 instead. New rear O2 here thursday, so we'll see.

 

so you put the 02 simulator and then instead you got a p0137 and p0138 codes, what do those two indicate? I'll try swapping mine and see what code i get. thanks

Glad to know that Viper. I went out for lunch and I still have not received another SES light. All I did again was pull out my passenger header O2 sensor and reseat it. Maybe I crunched some of the wires.

Fingers crossed that it won't throw a code on the way home or to NOPI this weekend. Definitely let me know how the new O2 sensors work out for you.

yeah that's the one! I am actually gonna try removing the one non-fouler and see if that takes care of it. Strange that the pass side with only one non-fouler thats closer to the stream of exhaust gas is not throwing a code.

 

125 miles and no SES light yet Viper.

I pray it stays that way, just one less headache to deal with.

 

I just put in my new O2 sensor onto bank 1. Cleared the codes with my scanner. P0137 and P0138 were what threw the SES. P0430 was listed as "pending" but hadn't actually thrown (antifoulers fooling the ECU --> it won't actually throw the code until it's sure).

 

P2A00 came on after 50 miles. WTF

 

Do we have any chance of running test pipes or all the 07 hosed?

 

Sorry man. I still haven't thrown a code and I'm down in Atlanta for NOPI. I think I was just scrunching my O2 sensor wires and that was the reason I was throwing it.

I think I got it. No more P2A00 or P2A03 so far (80 miles since last reset). Bank 2 was throwing P0430, put tighter brillo padding in and no more P0430. All OBD monitors passing with a green light.

I just installed my FI exhaust and test pipes on my 07 yesterday. Been 2 days with 150+ miles + non foulers = no CEL so far

well I really cant say toomuch since my butt dyno kinda sucks after I gainedsome weight. It does pull a lot harder though. Track day isthis coming friday so only times can tell I guess. As for thesound of the exhaust it sounds BEAUTIFUL!! not even 1 single rasp yet. Sounds pure sex. That vq sound just on steriods now. With the AEM intakes the car is a screamer.
