Default JWT clutch / Nismo Flywheel installed

First off I got it installed at ZCarGarage at San Jose, CA. Rob (shop owner) was a chill and awesome guy. I also had my 30k service done there at the same time. He accidently quoted me the 15k service price for my 30k service, but was actually kind enough to keep the reduced price!

My JWT clutch / Nismo flywheel is not a common combo as most people opt for the lighter JWT flywheel. I think I might be the only person with this setup as I did an extensive search but wasn't able to find anyone else with this combo. I didn't want a flywheel too light, so the Nismo was a compromise and still significantly (8-9 lbs?) lighter than stock.

The JWT clutch's pedal feel is slightly softer than stock, which I love. I DD my car in hilly SF and my stock clutch was overwhelmingly stiff, even compared to other 350Zs for some reason. Engagement is about 1.5 inches off the floor but it should rise as I break the car in more. Grabs faster and nicer.

With the Nismo flywheel, it does feel like my car shed some weight. The RPMs rise and drop a little faster which is great for rev matched downshifting. And yes, there is the infamous chatter noise especially when the engine is bogging (too high of gear in relation to speed) up to able 2.5k RPM at times but it's not that bad.

Overall I'm very satisfied and I like driving my car even more now. Sorry for the lengthly post but I'm sure someone will find this review helpful if they decide on this combo.

Yes that's the one, and I believe the only clutch JWT makes. I don't know about your car, but the '03 and '04 clutches are stiffer than the later models. Also some people say it might be due to my pressure plate going out. The JWT clutch has the perfect feel, not too soft or stiff.

JWT makes higher hp rated clutches but you have to ask for them. They are not listed on the website.
