Question Cusco RS...difference between G and Z?

i was going through the parts list for the Cusco RS LSD and noticed that the part numbers for the Z and G are different. the Z is listed as 252 L15 while the G is listed as 251 L15. does anyone know why there is a difference? are they interchangeable?

the reason i am asking is that i've seen used Z Cusco RS LSD's and wanted to pick it up. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Thanks for posting. I was wondering, too.

So, are you getting one?

I've been thinking about getting one, too. I'm curious how much difference it would make over the OEM VLSD.

i am going to get one as soon as i find it for the right price the difference will be night and day, especially if you track the car at all. i will be using it with only the 60% setting for now, and i will let time and track experience dictate on whether or not i will move up from there.

that is one of the part #'s - there is also another for auto cars, and another that comes preset at 2 way. The one you mention is preset at 1.5 way (adjustable to 2) and the one that comes preset to 2 way is adjustable to 1.5. All are adjustable for lockup from 60%-100% (60% is what I use and recommend, the higher ones are more aggressive and not nearly as smooth/linear, but its nice to have it adjustable anyway)

And, we have em in stock, and can have one to you by end of the week

Is the RS that comes preset to 1.5 adjusted to 60%?

How often do you have to change the fluid in a Cusco diff?

all Cusco diffs come preset to 100% - restacking the plates inside (it has a diagram that shows you) is what changes the lockup %

I've changed my fluid 2 times since 2004 (once ever 20k miles or so)
