Default Engine Build

who is the best engine builder 4 the vq engine. Im looking for a full build and its going to be a daily driver and occasional track days. I got a t trim vortech. I would like to boost 20psi. I would love some info and outcome of some of the shops that build vq. I would like to know who is the best and what kind of warranty I get.

there are a bunch of guys assembling engines these days. If you want a true engine builder and don't mind paying for it, look into who the serious racers are (in lots of different racing series) and who builds there motors......and it doesn't have to be a "vq" engine guy.

I wouldnt bother trying to boost to 20psi on a Vortech.. IMO your gonna find yourself very dissapointed.. Spending loads of $$$ on R&D to find that its nearly impossible.. Been there, done that, on the ATI Procharger.. Go TT with a build and ull get some serious numbers..

The most common builders for the VQ on here are GTM, Forged Performance, Performance Factory, MRC Motorsports, SGP Racing, and a few others I could be missing...... A simple search could yeild you some results/make some phone calls..

Turbine/supercharger blades are shaped for a certain flow and pressure efficeincy overdriving the speed will just cause a drop in effciency and a spiking in compressed air temperature..............wasteful.

Always calculate the airdensity-volume vs just the fairly meaningless PSI.
