Why hasn't Nismo offered any FI, intake, headers, true dual exhaust? I want to keep my warranty but not if I can't mod it too. The last chance is what R-tune for FI? Why are they sitting back and waiting to compete?

 

Now, I'm not saying this is the gospel, but my dealership is telling me that there will be a "performance" kit offered by nismo though the dealerships in a month or 2. From what I've been told this kit will boost engine HP to 402 and if it is installed by the dealership it will not void the warranty. I've been quoted $2,500 for the kit.

Nismo is sure taking it's sweet time while the true SHIFT_PASSION'ists are actually doing something about upping the performance of the Z. I personally can't wait till my 70,000 mile full warranty is up so I can take the engine out, put in forged rods with a new compression ratio of 8.5:1, then I would preferably super-charge the $hit out of it no less than 12psi. Anything is possible, it just ='s $$$. That "performance" package does sound interesting, hopefully it's not all dealer hype .

I really don't think it's dealer hype. They were so sure this was coming they offered to let me pre-order it. I refused for the simple fact that my money works hard for me, not them. But the simple fact that they were ready to sell me something kinda leads me to believe it's coming.

Everyone call your dealers, ask them.

VQRacer, we haven't seen all of the nismo 350z's. They have yet to show the Z-tune 350Z, which is like the last hope for FI. If Veilside made a supercharger for it, then Nismo definately should do some kind of FI.

 

I sure hope that is a typo. Are you telling me a 119 hp gain for $2500, that would be a deal of the century. Hell, I'll take a 19 hp gain for $2500 as long as it is warrantied.

June 16 is when the dealers will be able to order the NISMO parts. No clue what they will be but like it's been said before, they'll offer the s-tune, r-tune, and parts for older model cars.
