tomei camshaft problem help!
hey guys finished installing my tomei cam 264 two days ago sounds so badass, however i took it tdy to the dyno and the bad news is that my car droped around 40hp.
What do you think caused the problem could it be an installing problem, leak or is it the cam itself ?
Any thoughts would be great guys .
Thanks
sorry that i posted in the wrong section my bad please moderators can you move it to 350Z section thanks

Why do you keep on saying "camshaft" (singular) instead of "camshafts" (plural)? I'm not trying to be a jerk. I'm a pushrod nut myself so sometimes I still make the same mistake when I'm referring to my G, just making sure you installed ALL the necessary parts.
did you change them yourself or have a certified mechanic do it that has A LOT of experience from Nissan.
we have about 500 cam buckets sitting on the shelf and spend 2 hours making sure every single valve bucket to cam clearance is perfect. to do this you need a lot of buckets to get it right. if you just did this yourself and threw them in there, your valve lash will not be right and could be part of your issue.
you also need to make sure a few other things are perfect and have the car tuned properly from someone with nissan experience...
This is the reason that reputable shops like, FP, GTM, IP, MRC, SP, and us continue to put out perfectly running high hp VQs on a consistent basis. good luck with everything...
