I know that the 06's had a problem with oil consumption, but recently I've noticed that my car is using up about a QT every 1500 miles or so. Its not leaking and its not burning it (out of the exhaust anyways). Does anyone else have this problem with their Z? My car only has 45,000 miles btw. The only thing I can think of is the Kinetix V+. Any ideas. Thanks guys.

 

My shat eats 2.5 qt every 3k miles.

 

Nissan and the industry accepts 1 quart per thousand miles as satisfactory operation.

Older lower stress/power designs of the 1990's used 1 quart per 3k and spoiled every previous owner.

 

thats pretty **** poor standards.

 

yeah no ****, figuring my '03 with 54k doesn't even burn a half a quart every change. (5000 miles)

 

mine used to burn 2 quarts every 2500 miles, i put a oil cooler in from setrab and its kinda fix the prob. burns 1/2 quart every 3000 miles.
