I noticed in your sig that you're selling the Z. What happened? Is the PE turbo project cancelled?

Just ONE injector is $180!!! WHat happened to a full 8 injector kit for about $300 for a mustang or camaro? Am I missing something here?!?!

I better be getting gold or platinum injectors then. There is no reason why 2 injectors cost more than 8. NO REASON!! I also thought that the injectors for a mustang are basically the same for a japanese car? Do we have some sort of unique injectors in our cars? This is just too much for me to handle. I mean, there is no real reason for Titanium exhaust (unless you are full blown racing), and now they are telling me $180/ injector? Wild....

I think pricing is a bit ridiculous whether we have a mustang or Z. Hell a damn O2 sensor for an Audi is alot more than the same O2 sensor for a VW. Its the same sh*t. Mercedes/Toyota Corolla, OK maybe's theres a difference here in this case.

those are some horrible prices! i paid 95 dollars a pop for rc engineering 550cc. considering the demand for my application (72 240z) isnt that high the prices were damn good.

Every time I buy a new car, the price of aftermarket goes higher and higher. I really don't know what it is

My next car will have $2500 exhaust, $3K for headers, Cams will be 3K.......its getting out of control!

It's an economical term called demand. As demand for products go up, so does the prices.

Default demand

It should be the opposite. The more people want an item the price should go down. The less people the price should be higher. OF coarse that depends on the SUPPLY!

Exactly. There is high demand for a product in low supply, therefore the price will be higher. If there is low demand with high supply, the price will be lower.

I'm not quite sure how much demand there is for injectors at this point.

I think the more people that want and purchase these, as initial investment costs are paid off, the price should go down.

This may be more the reason for the high pricing of parts for our cars.

But still, $180 for 1 injector..... They better be made of gold and have magical powers

YOU BUY AN EXPENSIVE CAR, YOU PAY EXPENSIVE AFTERMARKET.
YOU WONT FIND INJECTORS THAT EXPENSIVE FOR A VTEC ENGINE.
I LIKE THE HIGH PRICES MYSELF. IT KEEPS OTHER PEOPLE FROM BUYING AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT.

Well, there's enough demand to warrant the product to go from the testing phase to mass production.

And hopefully when more people demand injectors, the price will go down.

Sorry I overlooked the inj part. That's crazy expensive especially when you need 6!!

I'm just glad that some decent exausts are $800 and below.

Besides, no one should need injectors unless they're going FI.

Anyways, so is the Z not getting the PE turbo kit anymore?

I don't think I would call this an expensive car.

If you think $1100 for a set of injectors is reasonable, feel free to purchase them.

what is the stock injector size. 380's are pretty small. but an na engine does not need that big of injectors. pe injectors are more expensive than most. mainly because the are japanese parts that aren't yet available for the us market.
850cc injectors for my subaru are between 150-200 per injector. pe's are more than that.

The injectors in the 350Z are unique. Have a look at them. Different than what I have have seen.

The shape of a fuel injector for a domestic car and for a japanese car are different.

There are only a few real types . There are a few oddballs , side feeds , and others , but mostly are top feed and either Bosch style or Denso style.

If you look at the tip - the part where the fuel is sprayed you will notice that the Bosch is larger than the Denso style.

As far as price is concered - if you need extra fuel - $1000 for injectors to supply that fuel is a lot less expensive than replacing the whole engine because you leaned it out and blew it up.

You can't tell me that that price is reasonable though. Buy injectors for a Viper or a Corvette and they won't be that expensive either.....liek I said before, this is crazy....

Okay Everyone,

RB Motoring posted that the injectors are avaliable along with the price of them. If you don't agree with the price or can't afford it then don't buy it. PE is one of the top tuners in Japan. The demand for Z33 parts in Japan is crazy right now. Most manufactures in Japan run small production runs so that doesn't help either. This drives the price up which in turn makes the price higher to import them from Japan. I'm not trying to deffend RB Motoring pricing or any other vendors pricing. I just hate to see a vendor get attacked on an open forum when he is just trying to share avaliablity of a new product to the rest of the board. The Z33 is not a Civic or even close to a mustang. Everyone and there brother does not have a Z33. Nissan is keeping production down to 40,000 cars. Vendors are here to help us mod our cars.So if you have a comment about the price please keep it to yourself, PM or email the vendor about it.

just my 2 cents....

thanks,
Greg

There's NOTHING fancy about the Z33. Keeping production to 40,000 units is not considered EXOTIC or extremely rare. And last but not least, if we want to express our oppinion to everyone else on the board to see if we all agree or disagree we will. That's what forums are for, to shoot the sh*t, educate, and agree and disagree on stuff. Everything else you said I agree with.
