no question your not paranoid...... just damn stOOpid. Have you never seen any manual tranny with the engine running in nuetral not shaking?????
A little harsh and ignorant, the shaking usually only occurs in RWD cars. Both of my FWD manual cars do not have an detectable movement in the shifter.
wow i think its cool that ur a girl n u drive a stick z im from miami n i only know two girls that have stick z's...about ur question i have the same vibration dont worry im paranoid too...lol

thanx, i thought about gettin an automatic, but then a minute later, i was like nah, it's a sports car, gotta get stick!
This tranny does take some getting used too, its different than any Ive used. Like someone said before, they all have their own personalities. This one is a little hard to get to know, but once you do, its great (no shift linkage + RWD) ...but the less crap in the drivetrain, the more POWER to the wheelz!!!
I'm glad you asked that question. I just started driving stick a few months ago with my z and noticed the same vibration. It also gets a bit notchy when I shift gears...do u guys have the same problem or is that just something I need to get used to?

yeah, mine is kinda clunky too, but just happens when i shift from first to second...the other gears are fine. but everyone tells me that it's normal.
