I've got the ACT Streetlite (around 16 lbs) and after a couple months of driving, it is a nice compromise between the lighter aftermarket flywheels and the stock unit. It took about a good couple of days to get used to the lessened inertia of the lighter flywheel. (the revs drop noticibly quicker) You still get some of the cement mixer sound from idle until about 2-2.5K, though. I drove a JWT equipped Z and it was about the same.

Well who can say they've tested multiple clutches? Most are going to be biased to the one they have in their car currently. I just got the JWT flywheel and when I start my car, the RPMs drop way low and most times my car dies. It also has happened a few times when rolling in neutral. I know it's because of the decreased inertia but will my ecu eventually learn and increase my idle or am I off the grid with that one?

A good alternative would be to go get tuned... stop your stalling and pick up 20whp

I personally would go with one 14-16lb's if you want the best daily driving... the lighter you go the worse it is for daily driving.

Think of it like a scale. On one side you have the performance (weight) of the flywheel, on the other you have daily driving. Stock flywheel is the worse for performance but the best for daily driving. The tilton is the best for performance but worse for daily driving.

I am purchasing a clutch/lightened flywheel over winter, and I'm pretty sure i'll be going with ACT myself.

Well you'd need to find a local performance shop that has ECU flashing technology for your car, that or buy engine management like UTEC etc...

Not really worth it if you aren't a serious modder... but a good tune will make the car run better and more powerful, and it will stop your lightened flywheel from making the car stall
