The ONLY hold-up at this point is the fact that Brian and I are trying to find a reasonably priced way to get my car back from the West Coast (YES IT IS STILL OUT THERE). He needs my car to finalize pricing! Once my car comes back the plan is to have brian snap some PICS and Videos, calculate costs to reproduce what has been done in my car, work with UP-REV to get ALL of the CAN interfaces up and running and then I am sure he will release pricing. Believe me guys, I am anxious too. My car shipped out around March of 2007 and is coming back NOW...so basically I have not been able to enjoy it for a year (don't drive it much in the winter).
I will driving around with a nice LS2/N20 combo so I can still have some fun with TT cars while the LSX gets built. This way also allows me to deliver on my promises of giving rides and attending events.
BTW I am trying to get the videos that a photographer shot at SEMA so I Can host them for all to see.

Sadly I do not have the time to take off for such a trip. Plus I would much rather have them test it JIC something happens....better it happens near their shop then in the middle of the desert

Does this engine weigh more or less than the VQ35?
Sorry if that answer is in here but I didn't have time to search through 21pages.
Normally most people would think that the LS1/LS2 would be heavier, but when they swap this engine into an FD RX-7 the weight actually goes down by about 30lbs. I'm guessing maybe that's because the rotorary engine weighs a little more than a normal engine.

stock Vq35 probably weighs less than an LS1, but once you bolt up a twin turbo kit, who knows?

Awesome, I knew this could and would be done!! Too bad I couldn't pull it off first, I didn't have fancy sponsors!! Congrats, can't wait to see this beast in person. By far the best choise of motor swaps.
here is where I was thinking it over and realized my azz is broke!
I wish some sponsors would have stepped up a while back we could have debuted last year, sucks for them.

Don't quote me but I think it's 30-40lbs heavier after the FD swap. Easily corrected by a battery relocation.
The 13b rotary isn't as light as one would think. But you also have to add the weight of the turbos, intercooler and all the related piping. Given what you get in NA power and torque, a 30-40lb penality is miniscule to the gains it achieves
