Default Dyno'd my N/A Auto 350z LOL

Hey guys I just had a dyno + A/F readings done on my Z (DynoJet). I must say it was a bit dissapointing because I expected roughly 245-250 whp. Car was run with full interior +spare + sub and about 3/4 tank of 91 octane. Obviously as you can see Auto tranny power loss is pretty significant compared to a 6MT. All runs were on 3rd gear. They did 5 runs and the highest I reached was 240 Hp and 217 Tq. All other runs were within 1-2 Hp 1-2 Tq.

I dont know much of anything about Dynos so Id appreciate it if the forum gurus can give me some input on my Dyno + A/F readings . Im thinking a Technosquare reflash would be a great investment to squeze some more power? thanks alot guys

Mods are.....
Nismo Catback
Berk High flow cats
K&N drop in filter
Unorthodox pulley
Motordyne 5/16 spacer.

I have a 6MT and got dynoed at the same place with only stillen exhaust popcharger and crawford cats no tune and got 257. Reflash would definetly help. I need to get one too. Good luck.

Yikes, that's low. You're an AT, and your torque numbers look pretty crappy. You're dynoing less than most stockers. Unless you were on a dyno that reads low.

Definently do the reflash. You'll see a lot more linear graph and power.

i dont think Dynojets reads really low and yea the numbers dont look so great. The funny thing is after all the mods I didnt really feel any readings from the butt dyno. The guy told me Im running a rich. I figured with these boltons I would actually tend to run leaner? . I guess I could have just not posted these crappy numbers but I figured I could learn a tip or two haha

Hard to compare dyno to dyno, but keep in mind that the TC does not lock in 3rd gear, which gives you a smoother curve, but without a lock you don't have a 1:1 correlation to engine power. 4th gear is your 1:1 gear ratio and the TC will lock in that gear. It will look weird as the TC locks, but you should get a better estimation of true peak power.

definately reach tadashi at technosquare...your a/f is a little high for n/a (like my car was with headers, spacer, intake, exhaust, and pullies)...when i got the reflash and he richened me up a bit...everything felt like it came together.

Does the 5AT get torque multiplication in 4th? Hypothetically speaking the 5AT should dyno higher in 3rd because of this? What gear would be the best to dyno on? Thanks.

My auto G35 did 259 on that particular dyno with the same correction factor. My car runs lean, and I should get a reflash, but it's time to save for a GTR.

240 is pretty much what u should expect with those mods bc the most I got with my AT was 245 and thats with headers, exhaust, cats, mrev2+ and 5/16spacers, pop charger, ur pulley, and unichip. Oh, dynoing in 3rd is the BEST gear for AT (not 4th).
