Default Looking for some low-end power?

Sorry if this is a repost guys, but I'm trying to improve my low-end a bit more and I don't know of which mod to go with after the Nismo exhaust in order to move the lower power curve upwards. And I'm not looking to FI, either. The MD has added solid gains up top, with some in the middle. And BTDC17 has also done a nice job of adding that extra oomph across the powerband. So what's my next move? Should I consider a PB ECU and tune it after the exhaust?

Thanks, guys. =)

A tune will also help but I also suggest test pipes.
They will add power everywhere above 2.5K RPM.

A 3.9 final drive will also work very well.

I'm concerned about the test pipes being too loud with the Nismo.

My res TPs don't start getting loud until above 3.5~4K rpms... But it's pretty sweet sounding when it does....

Any sound clips of the resonated ones? Seems like all the clips on YouTube are poorly compressed.

BTDC = Before Top Dead Center, adjusting it called Advanced Timing. Our cars stock are 15-degrees. A Consult II Tool and a few others can increase timing up to 5-degrees. Usually 17 is the safest, as anything past that can cause the car to ping under heavy load or hot weather. It also prevents you from ever using anything less than 91 or 93 octane. Its benefits usually are improved torque and a bit of extra HP across the powerband.

Here's mine: Nismo catback, with unresonated test pipes:

Probably best bang for the buck, but I'm thinking of switching to HFC's, the smell is really annoying.

I would say 3.9 gears you would be able to tell the most in low end.

Uhh...you can use the UTEC itself to advance timing...if you're tuned NA with a UTEC, its prob already been done!

Will the rear diff of an AWD FX35 which happens to be a 3.9 bolt in place of the stock diff? Also, does anyone know what the stock ratio is and how much the top end will suffer?

FX35 uses 3.692, AWD or RWD.

Yeah? My buddy has an FX and is willing to trade with me after he gets his twins. I'm really thinking about it...

They look the same but I don't know if it would be a direct swap.

well the consult does not allow adjustments up to 5 degrees - that is incorrect -

It will allow you to go from 17 to 13 anywhere in between, with a plus or minus from factory (15 degrees) of 2 degrees -

17 degrees will help you out for sure on power wise. I would suggest getting a lightweight pulley as I have one on group buy right now

The Consult most certainly allows for a 5 degree change on a VQ35DE. My friend, the owner of the Consult, has a worked FX35 and advanced his timing to 20 with the consult. We even did it to a number of 2002-03 Maximas. Now, the older VQ35 Pathfinders, 5th gen VQ30 Maximas, and others could only go up to 17 (I used to have a 2001 Max).

But I may consider a pulley, though. Doesn't sound like a bad idea - especially since I'm not concerned about bling factor with subs and systems.
