Auto trans power loss
ok... I'm a bit ticked about something....
I have a Touring Auto (if you wanna bash me on this you're wasting your time)
I have never got a 0-60 time better than 6.4 sec.
I launch by torque braking at about 2,000 rpm and then releasing brake and fully engaging the throttle. I the car jumps forward on the initial launch well, but about 15 feet into it the power seems to drop and then finally comes back once the revs are up to about 3,500 rpm.
This can't be right..... I've ridden in a manual tranny Z and the manual put the power to the road from the beginning... no bogging down.
can someone explain?

I have an auto. I've never timed myself other than the car computer so it's probably not that accurate, but I get definately better than 6.4, more like 5.6-5.8. I just floor it and shift in manual mode at 6300, I make 60 in 2nd. As you can imagine, it's hard to drive, time, and shift ... and lookout for smokey
