what is exactlly a limited slip diff?
When you turn your circle travel different distances, thus they must have separate axles ro you would chew through tires. Most cars have an open differential meaning the axles are allowed to spin freely. If oyu have na open differential, when you lose traction all the power goes to the path of least resistance, or the spinning tire. With a limited slip differential at a certain point power is transferred back to the wheel WITH traction, this allows better traction but still a driveable car.
IF you had a lock differential you would shred tires quickly, however straight line traction would eb fantastic!
See this site for pics included, a must when tlaking about differnetials
