i have a 2004 350z vortech supercharged intercooled running 8psi standard engine.320rwhp. how far can i push the standard engine? what bolt on mods can i do to up the hp? i have been told to do water injection,headers,5/16 plenum spacer and an underdive.chasing around 400rwhp.how much boost will the engine handle?
wil be putting a new clutch in soon i am looking at a jwt clutch pressure plate and lightened flywheel will this clutch setup be good for daily driver with some track and strip work any feedback would be great.

normally id flame someone with a thread like this when you can search and find out all your answers to these questions easily...but im feeling nice today so ill help you out !!
as far as your engine is concerend you should be fine with your stock engine when running a superchqrger...however i wouldnt push over 18psi...however for around 3500 you can upgrade the basics of the engine (rods, pistons, cams, studs, hg, and bearings). for the water injection method you will easily hit 400 whp with an upgraded engine. but dont shoot for too much more...and for big gains id go with meth instead of water. most clutches made for the Z's are fine as daily drivers...ive only heard of a a few instances where clutch/flywheels havent been good for daily driving...but IMHO stay away from spec...thats just me though

lol a ucking kangaroooooooooo
stock block is good for 400hp but you push it to the limit and you will be rebuilding your block. 320 too the wheels isn't too bad for the vortech, just sounds like you need to add some basic bolt ons to stretch the hp out of the boost you already have. I wouldn't try to get more hp by kicking up the boost, or you'll go boom. Fill in the holes you already missing. Good luck with things.

I have been reading alot on this site and it is very helpful. On the other hand, there are alot of a**holes on here. When people ask a question the first thing some of you do is bring up the "search". The "search" is your friend, but there are cases that the "search" takes to long. We all have the same passion for the same car. This is supposed to me a online family. To me there are alot of post ****** on here, that post just to get there count up. That doesn't mean **** if you are not helping anyone. That is one of the reasons that I don't post alot. If I don't have anything helpful or encouraging to say than I just read on. This is my rant for the day. Just remember that we all have one thing in common - 350Z!!!! So think abot that noob that has that dumb question, that didn't search. Help them, don't discourage them.

The reason people tell you to SEARCH is that you will NOT get good answers in a thread such as this: with a poor title (not descriptive), and lack of motivation to do independent research.
First of all your thread is in the wrong forum for someone running a vortech kit.
Second, when you fail to search and fail to post in the correct forum, the experienced members from whom you want to get a GOOD answer will simply not even visit your thread. You will ONLY get smart-*** answers and maybe if you're lucky, you'll get some answers from a few people who don't know what the hell they're talking about. Why? Because those knowledgable members who have something RELEVANT and USEFUL to say have already said it probably at least 5-10 times in various threads.
SEARCHING doesn't mean you necessarily have to use the search function, but the search function can help dramatically. Sometimes simply looking at the top page of various forums can be very effective in finding useful info.
For example a useful sticky in the Forced Induction forum.
https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/270770-vortech-faq-read-this-before-asking-vortech-questions.html
And another example, the top 100 questions thread, including a question on "How far have people pushed the stock block before it broke"
Link for that one is in my signature.
You know what, sorry to waste "hours" of your valuable time by helping you to help yourself. You will get out whatever you put in. If you put in no time to learn about your vortech setup, you won't get a damn thing in return.
Frankly, I don't understand how anyone could purchase and install a F/I kit WITHOUT doing HOURS AND HOURS of independent research.
How could you POSSIBLY consider it a waste of time to spend HOURS researching the very expensive parts and tuning that goes into building a good forced induction setup??
There, now I have flamed you AND helped you so STFU
and go do independent research, using what I told you as a starting point. As for the crack about "all americans" based on only 1 person's comment ... I suppose that says a lot about someone who can't even be bothered to learn something for himself
