Default Hey Chebosto.....

What's up?

How are things in ECU land?

The reason for me writing to you is that I now have a borla true dual exhaust on order (it should be here and installed by next weekend) and I also have the hybrid Injen/JWT full CAI already installed.

They are both nice upgrades but the ECU makes me wonder....

More air in, better air out, so what will happen? Will the ECU re-adjust and add more fuel to air/fuel mix and then what wiil happen? Retardation?

I do not even like that word, RETARDATION. Is it even spelled correctly?

Well, anyway, I may have overdone it slightly with the combo/hybrid intake, but I still like it, and with the exhaust I will have a pretty sweet set up but I am still missing one VERY IMPORTANT item that you still have very well hidden in your back pocket, that darn ECU!

I understand that "your peoples" are ready to start dishing them out and they could probably charge whatever they want (they are the ONLY ones wit it!) but..........

Hook us brudas up, dude!

Have them work out a sweet deal for all of us Z brudas on the forum and you will have everlasting love and friendship from all who frequent this board!

Oh yea, on a personal note.... I am free wednesday June 18 or Thursday June 19th and I would like to set up an appointment to go to "your peoples" for my ECU upgrade!

Does that work for you and yours?

your recent modifications should not be a problem.

as for Drop-Ins, they need time do complete my Turbo Kit, i dont think the 18/19th is a good time frame...

the group deal will be set up thru Strictlyz.com most likely, please refrain from dropping-in unannounced, they dont like that too much....

we are getting the automatic versions done... we will release when everything is done.

in the future, please PM me directly.

Well, I have a question that others need to hear. I was wondering, how will the ECU fit with other mods??? I was thinking (a bad thing, lol), if the ECU is programmed for the stock 350Z, what happens when the car gets minor mods such as exhausts, headers, intakes and such??? And, would it have to be reprogrammed again for forced induction??

BTW, your work is well appreciated by all of us.

i have read EVERYTHING posted on the ECU, 2-3 times already!, and he has already stated that the mods will only help performance. The new ecu will not hinder mods, only help them.

if your question is that you are wondering if the ecu is programmed for a stock car and THEN you hook up new mods will it (the ecu) need to be readjusted. I believe the answer is NO(and I could be wrong) The new mods will just make the car perform better with no more programming required. The only time more programming would be required is when you go from NA to FI. As in adding a supercharger or turbo, then you would need to go back for a "program tuneup!"

Someone (Chebosto) please correct me if I am wrong on this!
