base with 15k miles on it from nissan, and we just noticed that when you press the clutch pedal in the whining goes away, when you release it it whines, Does nissan warranty this? Thanks

sounds like its probably just a throw out bearing. Its going to make a little bit of noise, but you shouldnt hear it if you have the radio on at all. If its audible enough to be THAT noticable, bring it back to nissan. But technically it is a wearable item and they may not warranty it.

It doesn't sound like the transmission. Sounds like the clutch release bearing or pilot bearing is going bad, but I'm not 100% sure.
