Default Z1 Clutch and Flywheel

Just wondering if anyone has had or currently uses a Z1 C&F. If so how do you like?

It is not a Southbend clutch.
More on the lines of a Ebay set-up.

^ LOL. What are your plans for now and the future of your motor? And do you plan to track/track your car? This will really help in purchasing the right clutch for your needs the first time. Go with Cluth Masters or RPS. For serious enthusiast, Exedy offers several stages. All which are top grade.

Click on my link below for Forged and check out what they supply? They are basicly local, in case you didn't know?

The Stage 4 Competition clutch is a ceramic mix puck made by Miba.
I can do the same kit for $495.00
It is our DXD-B kit.

There Iron man is basically our DXD-F kit which has the feramic pucks and is much more streetable with smoother engagment.

I run stock clutch... chhhhheeeeyyyaaaa. It only doesn't slip in the rain when driving hard... cause my 60 dollar a pop tires slip instead. Just playing, I'm waiting to upgrade my clutch too. Gotta go forced soon.

Went to Forged today and Sharif gave me a once over on Competiton Clutch he now carries. Seems to be a great product. I believe I'm going to give it a try on my next purchase. They don't seem to get the respect they deserve. They already make clutches for other companies. Plus they are local, which would work well on problems and parts.

I installed the Z1 C&F in my Z. The clutch works great, but I had put my stock "dual mass flywheel" back in. From a performance standpoint, the Z1 flywheel was great. I could definetly felt a difference, but... between 1k and 2k rpm... BEWARE!!! The internals in the transmissions extension housing chatters like hell. The dynamic and mass damper isnt sufficient enough to dampen the frequencies created from the lighter flywheel. It's great as long as you can keep it above 2 grand. But when you have to drive in a parking lot or anywhere the speed limit is between 10 to 20 mph, it is the loudest and most embarrassing sound ever. Everybody stares at you in a "haha" way! My girl is like "you bought a P.O.S.!!" and I'm like "Whateva!!.. now get out and walk!!" or I wanted to say that at the least... Z1 flywhl: Performance/GOOD!! ...Cruising around with my gyrl/BAD!! =)
