i currently have a 5at with the 3.3FD and i am switching out pumpkins with a 6mt to the 3.53 then soon swap that out with the 3.7FD. i remember seeing somewhere that i would lose my cruis controll. is that true? Also for those of you 5at's who did this swap how did you like it?
I tried searching already but came up with nothing but threads without the defenite answer.

why would you lose cruise control?

 

Cruise is built into the Ecu I believe, there is nothing on the pumpkin that stimulates cruise

 

I know if you want to keep the LSD you better make sure the one that you are swapping with has it.

To add to the confusion I have my own question.

If your trading pumpkins lets say from a 6MT with VLSD to Auto VLSD pumpkin.

Does VDC have an effect?
Do both cars have to have VDC or would that be a mute point and would not matter?

 

You will lose CC with the 3.7 I believe. I went from the 3.3 to the 3.5 on my car and it makes a hella difference esp with FI

 

None , It reads wheel speed off the axles, and wheel speed off the front rotors. as long as the wheels are spinning in the proper ratio from front to rear and side to side you are fine. A gear ration change is not going to have any effect. Cruise control on the other hand, i cant say. It may work off RPM /speedo/wheel speed

 

so i will lose cruis controll with the 3.7 fd? anyone know why that is, or if theres any way around this?
