The spring behind the clutch pedal needs some WD-40 or your throw-bearing could be going out.

Where is this spring located? Can it be reached from inside the cabin or do i have to under the car?

Mine started doing that, it lasted a day then quit. It definitely sounded internal, like the spring the other poster stated. Had it not stopped, I would have tried to WD-40 it, as it is annoying.

It's inside the cabin. If you look behind and above your clutch pedal you'll understand.
